I talked to the inspector today.  He told me that he gave both Caffit and Ben Ami fines.  They both claimed they didn't know it was against the law to smoke outside in areas that are covered.  The inspector told them that he had been there a few days before and warned them specifically against smoking at those tables.

He gave them only 1000 shekel fines, but told them that next time it happens, he would give them the full 5000 shekel fine which is specified in the law.

On Sunday, the inspector is going back to the First Station.  He was there two weeks ago and issued warnings, and yesterday, he went back, and gave all the restaurants an extension until Sunday to post No Smoking signs.

I spoke with the municipality in Jerusalem about smoking at resturants in Jerusalem.  They asked me to take some pictures.  Caffit on Emek Refaim.

Gideon and Alex are off!

I dropped the boys off this morning for camp at Kayitz B'Kibbutz.

This morning they did the important things that you should do before going to camp:

1. went to buy Gideon a hat (North Face(60) and a Swiss Army Knife (60)
2. went to Hadar Mall, drank slurpies and sat on the Massage Chair (7 minutes for 5 shekels)
3. went to Post office on Emek Refaim and bought calling cards
4. ate lunch at RYU a new Asian eatery on Emek Refaim. They had the business lunch special for 48 NIS. According to Alex, he gives the place a score of 100 and the service was excellent. Gideon said the place was amazing, and they will certainly return.
5. packed their remaining belongings

Then I took them to Teddy. I tried to be late, I really did, but could only arrive ten minutes late. The buses arrived 45 minutes late.
